Saben summer is an explosion of graphic prints and bold shades that remind us to look on the bright side. More is definitely more; one for the maximalists with quirky use of hardware, citrus hits, playful primary tones and a vivid juxtaposition of layered prints.
The work of graphic designer Camille Walala is the muse of this playful summer 16 collection Electric Confetti- a celebration of colour that invites a new style mantra: PLAY MORE
Following on from a winter collection full of muted tones, subtle seventies craft elements and animal inspired textures, Saben summer is all about daring to be brave and delighting in a pop of colour. The collection is bound to excite the senses with a striking palette, statement confetti scattered eyelets and unexpected prints. Whilst not ignoring the shyer appreciator the collection simultaneously offers a paired back edit of natural, mushroom (quickly become an expected Saben staple), matte croc and a softer shade of cornflower blue.
New favourites, Leni, Marley, Poppy and Baby Frankie take the spotlight, while Saben signature Tilly reigns supreme in the new primary palette. Bella tote is the must-have addition to your existing accessories portfolio, constructed in luxurious saffiano leather with a surprise-and-delight contrast inner.
Roanne Jacobson, Director of Saben, says Electric Confettiis a graphic novel “bright new styles come with sculptural embellishments and contrasting pantone blocks. It is about not taking yourself too seriously and rediscovering the joy a burst of colour and the art of dressing can bring.”
Electric Confetti range is priced from RRP $59 to $550 and is available only mid-July, and instore August 2016. For more details visit www.saben.net.nz
